This policy explains what happens to your personal data if you use the enquiry form on this website, published by Jošt Snoj (referred to here as “we”, “us”, “the artist”).
Data controller
Jošt Snoj is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us using the contact address shown in the footer of every page on this site, which is the same address every enquiry is delivered to.
What the enquiry form collects
When you use the “Enquire about this artwork” form on an artwork page, we collect only:
- your name;
- your e-mail address;
- the message you write;
- the title and identifier of the artwork the enquiry concerns.
Your IP address is also used, very briefly, purely to prevent automated abuse: a temporary marker tied to it is kept for 30 seconds after a successful submission to stop rapid repeat sending, then it expires automatically and is deleted. It is never stored permanently or attached to your enquiry.
No other personal data is requested by this form, and no account, login, or profile is required to use it.
Why we collect it
We use your name, e-mail address, message, and the artwork reference for one purpose only: to read and reply to your enquiry about that artwork. We do not use your details for marketing, newsletters, advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making.
How long we keep it
This website’s database does not store the enquiries you submit. Each enquiry is sent, once, by e-mail directly to the site owner’s inbox; the website itself keeps no record of it afterwards. The resulting e-mail is then kept only for as long as needed to complete the correspondence about your enquiry, following the same practice we apply to our own mailbox generally, and is deleted once it is no longer needed.
Who we share it with
Nobody. Your enquiry is delivered directly to the site owner using WordPress’s built-in mail function. We do not pass your details to any third-party processor, advertising network, or analytics platform.
Cookies
This site is a browsing-only catalogue: you can look through every artwork without creating an account, logging in, or adding anything to a cart, since online checkout is not available. Because of that, browsing the catalogue as a visitor does not set any cookies on your device — no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no shopping-cart/session cookies are set for anonymous visitors. This has been verified directly against the site’s own responses, not assumed.
Because no non-essential cookies are set, no cookie-consent banner is shown on this site. If that ever changes, for example if analytics or another cookie-setting feature is added later, this policy will be updated first and a consent banner will be put in place before any such cookie is set.
The one exception is the website’s own administration area: if you log in to manage the site (a function used by the site owner, not by visitors), WordPress sets standard session/authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in. That is an authenticated administrative function, separate from browsing the public catalogue described above.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the address shown in the footer of every page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec), the supervisory authority for data protection in Slovenia.
Changes to this policy
